For accountants & bookkeepers
A client file you can actually hold.
AcboBooks keeps the books in one file on the client's computer. For you, that means plain double-entry you can audit, periods that lock, and no seat fee for doing your job.

A month-end routine that fits
- Client reconciles bank and credit-card accounts in AcboBooks (or you do, over the LAN).
- You review the trial balance, GL and agings as of month-end; post adjusting entries.
- Close the period with a closing-date password. Give the client the reports as PDF.
- Year-end: the client's payroll produces W-2/EFW2 files; you review before they upload. Export the GL to your working papers.
Moving clients off QuickBooks Desktop
The import reads IIF lists and, on the same PC, pulls transactions through Intuit's SDK. Run the trial balance in both programs as of the cut-over date and compare; the import never duplicates on re-run. Details on the migration page.
Pricing for firms
You don't pay anything to open client files. If you want AcboBooks for your own firm's books, it's the same one-time licence as any business. Volume licences for firms that resell or bundle are available — contact us.
